Quicke's Mature Cheddar

Quicke’s Mature Cheddar is a traditional clothbound cheddar handcrafted on the Quicke family farm in Devon using pasteurised cow’s milk from their own herd. Carefully matured to develop a rich and balanced flavour, it offers notes of buttered toast, roasted nuts and caramel, with a savoury depth and smooth, lingering finish. The texture is firm yet creamy, delivering the distinctive character that has made Quicke’s one of Britain’s most respected farmhouse cheddars.

Made using time-honoured cheesemaking methods, each truckle is clothbound and matured slowly in ageing rooms where it is regularly turned and monitored. This careful maturation process allows the cheese to develop its complex flavour profile while maintaining a smooth, well-rounded texture and natural depth of character.

Pair it with apple chutney, oatcakes or a crisp cider to complement its rich, nutty flavours. It is equally delicious enjoyed on a cheeseboard, grated into recipes or melted into classic comfort dishes.
